ArtOberfest (with Chalk the Block)
ArtOberfest is a free fall celebration of the arts on the 700 and 800 blocks of Market Street in downtown Parkersburg. The afternoon opens with Chalk the Block, when teen and adult artists fill the sidewalk with chalk art and visitors vote for their favorites, and continues from 5 to 9 p.m. with fine art and craft vendors under red umbrellas, food trucks, art demonstrations, live music, and beer and wine sales. Rain moves the event indoors to the Parkersburg Art Center.
